The Rashon is a mixed breed that is a cross product of Rat Terrier and a Bichon Frise. Initially, it was intended to be an equal mix, but many of this breed is not always 50% Rat Terrier and 50% Bichon Fries. Rashon can have smooth and short dense fur similar to Rat Terrier or may have a white, dense double coat, like the Bichon Frise. The breed is likely to have light hazel, black or dark brown expressive eyes with a usually black nose.

In 1500 when French invaded Italy, the breed was brought to France, and here this breed was popular. These dogs used to perform in the circus. In 1956, Bichon Fries appeared in the United States, and American Kennel Club recognized this breed in 1972.
