History

This is a crossbreed of two purebreds Rat Terrier and a Bichon Fries. Rat Terrier is an American athletic breed who was excellent controllers for the rodent population. Most of the farms had these fabulous ratters, but by the mid of the 1950s, farmers started to replace Rat Terrier with poisonous chemicals to control rats in their farms, and gradually the breed started to decline. In the 1970s the breed re-emerged and used for hunting deer, bear and wild pig. In 2013, the American Kennel Club officially recognized this breed. According to historians, the Bichon Frise is Spanish as sailors brought this breed to Tenerife. During the 14th century, these dogs were brought back to Europe by Italian sailors. In 1500 when French invaded Italy, the breed was brought to France, and here this breed was popular. These dogs used to perform in the circus. In 1956, Bichon Fries appeared in the United States, and American Kennel Club recognized this breed in 1972.

Maintenance

Bichon Fries, a parent of Rashon, is hypoallergenic, so there is a chance that your pet is also good for people who are prone to allergy. Brushing is needed depending upon the type of coat; it may be similar to Bichon Fries double coat or Rat Terrier short and smooth coat. Occasionally bathing is required especially when the dog rolls in something undesirable. Ears should be dry and clean to prevent infection.
